Put first things first.
You may have heard these words before. These words are habit #3 from Steven Covey ‘s book The 7 Habits of Highly Effective People. The habit deals with time and life management. We must learn not to overextend ourselves. There’s power in saying no to some things to focus on our highest priorities.
What are your first things? Are they first? Or are you sacrificing them for less important things that appear to be urgent?
If you’re not deliberately putting your first things first, more than likely they’re not coming in second, but you’re neglecting them altogether. And if you’re neglecting your first things then your life is not in alignment.
If your life isn’t aligned you’re going to go in circles and end up nowhere.
To align your life and to stop going in circles is simple then … just put first things first. Sounds easy, doesn’t it? Well it’s been said – “if it was that easy then everyone would be doing it.”
Well, it is easy when you have CLARITY about your first things.
But if we have the WRONG things as our FIRST things then we’re wasting time.
Everything starts with a vision. You’ve got to see it in the unseen before it manifests in the seen. Vision is the starting point.
Vision is your first things first.
I have a vision for every area of my life. And if something doesn’t have a vision I get a vision for it. Once I have a vision I can align everything else under that.
Again, vision is your first things first. Without VISION where are you going?
Let’s talk about this in the comments below. Have you ever had a vision that wouldn’t let GO of you? What did you do? Prioritize or neglect it?
